1. Design and build quality
The Raider comes with an RGB strip on the front edge of the base, which gives the laptop a ROG vibe. The device is built using aluminum for most parts, with some plastic bits here and there. The laptop has a boxy design on the front while utilizing aggressive heat vents on the rear, giving the machine a more sporty appearance. In terms of weight and height, the device isn’t portable at all, weighing 2.89 kg, while being 27.4 mm tall.
2. Display quality
The device has a total of five 17.3-inch IPS display options, with two Full HD, two QHD, and one UHD panel. Our laptop came with the 300Hz Full HD panel, which offered comfortable viewing angles, a maximum brightness of 310 nits in the middle of the screen, 305 nits as an average for the entire display area, and a maximum deviation of just 5%. The contrast ratio is good, at around 1000:1.
The panel showed wide color coverage (94% of the sRGB gamut).
The laptop has decent color accuracy out of the box, providing a dE value of 2.3. Once we applied our Design and Gaming profile, we got a dE value of 1.2, which is right within the standard. 3. Input devices
The laptop has a great keyboard and touchpad setup. The keyboard has a per-key RGB backlight, which can be synced with the RGB bar, delivering a unified color spectacle. The unit offers a very long key travel and consistent tactile feedback, which we very much appreciate. This makes it one of the best keyboards for both gaming and typing.
The touchpad does have a smaller than usual size, but the accuracy is very good.
4. Battery life
With a 99.9Wh battery unit, the laptop delivers 7 hours and 32 minutes of Web browsing, and 7 hours and 13 minutes of video playback, which is great, considering the nature of the hardware inside. Now, we conduct the battery tests with Windows Better performance setting turned on, screen brightness adjusted to 120 nits, and all other programs turned off except for the one we are testing the notebook with.

1. CPU performance
The Core i7-11800H that is in this laptop has been done dirty by MSI, in our opinion. First of all, the cooling is to be blamed, as the CPU is only cooled down by two heat pipes, while the GPU gets the rest.
