Quick look at the new Dell Precision 3530 series – entry-level mobile workstation

In this article, we are going to touch upon the new Dell Precision 3530 – an entry-level mobile workstation to help you get through all your daily tasks.

As usual, we turn our heads to the hardware side of things first. You can choose between three Intel options – the 8th gen Core i7-8750H and Core i5-8300H, as well as Xeon E-2176M backed up by up to 32 GB of RAM. In addition, the configurations are equipped with NVIDIA Quadro P600 (2GB GDDR5) or Intel UHD Graphics 630 graphics card that should be sufficient for undemanding tasks. As for storage, you can use up to 1000GB SSD + up to 1000GB HDD.

Moving on, the display options include a 15.6-inch TN panel with HD (1366 x 768) resolution or a 15.6-inch IPS one with Full HD (1920 x 1080) res. Another essential merit of the device is its relatively good portability as the chassis weighs only 2.03 kg (4.5 lbs) and measures at 21.7 mm in height. The mobile workstation also has your back when it comes to connectivity providing a decent variety of ports – 1x USB 3.0 Type-A port (Sleep and Charge), 2x USB 3.0 Type-A ports, 1x USB Type-C ports, HDMI, microSD card reader, audio jack, as well as Wedge lock slot.
