Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 review – it’s ultra-light and the battery life is outstanding

Lenovo offers so many business and office devices that sometimes the regular user can be confused about when choosing a new laptop. Still, there is nothing wrong with a wide variety of machines in different categories and price classes. Today we will show a notebook that wealthy users should like – the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11.

The main focus here is the weight which is a bit over a kilo. In addition to that, considering how light this device is, there aren’t any visible cut-downs in terms of features. There are seven CPU variants and some of them are 28W Raptor Lake chips but we decided to buy a laptop with a 15W U-series CPU since it costs less and it’s more battery-friendly.

As expected, the security is on point. We can spot a Web camera with a privacy shutter, dTPM 2.0 module, fingerprint reader, FIDO authentication, and a Kensington Nano Security slot as part of the default options. You can turn this device into an almost unbreakable fortress if you get the optional extras that include a vPro processor, MIPI IR camera with Computer Vision, and a Privacy Guard-based display with Privacy Alert in case someone wants to have a sneak peek at your personal info on the screen.

Speaking of which, the laptop comes with five panel variants – three 1200p models (two of them are touchscreens), one 2.2K, and the top-dog is a 2.8K OLED unit. Not bad. By the way, our machine is Intel Evo-certified which is another optional feature. Still, at least on paper, this should lead to a good battery life, especially with the base 1920×1200 panel.
