1. Отстраняване на долния капак

2. Устройства за съхранение
Ноутбукът има един 2,5-инчов слот, който е зает от твърд диск, произведен от WD, с капацитет 1 TB и скорост 5400 об/мин.
В близост до батерията ще откриете M.2 SSD слот, който поддържа 2280 стика с помощта на PCIe NVMe контролер за ултрабърз трансфер на данни и скорости на четене. Този, който виждате на снимката по-долу, е само единица, която използвахме за тестване на ноутбука, така че не сме сигурни какъв тип SSD ще включи Lenovo в своите бройки на дребно.
3. Друг хардуер
Дънната платка разполага с два RAM слота, поддържащи до 16GB DDR4-2133 RAM, които в нашия случай са две 4GB RAM памети, произведени от SKhynix.
Има и Wi-Fi модул, отново в близост до батерията, произведен от Qualcomm с номер на модела QCNFA435 от серията Atheros. Той поддържа 802.11a/b/g/n/ac + BT 4.1.
Що се отнася до батерията, тя е с капацитет 45Wh, но се съмняваме, че ще бъде достатъчна за захранване на взискателния хардуер за по-дълъг период от време.
4. Охлаждаща система
Дизайнът на охлаждането е почти идентичен с този, който видяхме в Lenovo Y700, и за съжаление не останахме доволни от представянето му. No, unfortunately. You have to get one separately.

Unfortunately no. I used one of the external screws, though, for the writing of the review. It worked as a temporary solution but I suggest you find another one specifically for the M.2 stick.

Do you happen to know where I could get the HDD bracket that holds the drive from moving around? I have the SSD by default but I wanted to buy a hdd to add storage. I doubt it would be sufficient to install the hdd where it is only held in by the sata connectors.

The part number for HDD bracket of this series is 5B40K85930 and is available on Encompass. I looked over internet for hours, could not find any replacement elsewhere and Encompass is out of that part for last 45 days.
Double sided foam tape works perfect to hold the HDD in. I put two strips. One toward back, one toward front. You really don’t need the bracket, which appears to never have been and never will be in stock in the foreseeable. And they list it as $25…
Do you have information is the SSD Samsung SM951 NVMe PCIe x4 supported from the motherboard, cause it’s faster than PM951..?
I believe it does, check the lenovo forum to conform.
It should. The NVMe standard is what matters and as I stated, the notebook supports this standard so no worries.
I asked Lenovo support and they said they expect the options provided (the “generic” Samsung 128GB and 256 GB PCIe to be supported. They said not to try something like a Samsung 950 PCIe…

Coud you please tell me if the RAM memory is soldered on or is it easily removable? I’d like to make an upgrade and replace it with 2 memory boards of higher capacity.
You can upgrade the Ram, officially each of the 2 slots can support 8gb of ram (ddr4), but I am able to use a 16gb stick.
I’ve shown and said in the article that the machine features two RAM slots. There are no soldered RAM chips to the motherboard.
Does it matter if I use ddr4-2400 ram?
ddr4-2400 ram works perfectly well. Installed the 32GB months ago with no issues…

99% of the notebooks on the market don’t offer any further upgrade of the CPU or GPU, this one included.
Has anyone created a system recovery USB and then “restored” system on a less size SATA SSD (like 512G)?

The RAM chips are under the metal plate, which is located below the heat pipes, between the BIOS battery and Wi-Fi module.

From Lenovo you can buy 16GB ram max, I asked the sales representative and they confirmed it. But you can put 32GB max for this model. Have a look at the lenovo spec sheet: http://psref.lenovo.com/Product/ideapad_700_15
What disk is used to boot, I assume the 1TB, but would really like to have OS on the SSD and then (later) replace the 1TB with an SSD.
If your laptop comes with ssd it should come installed on the ssd
