[FPS Benchmarks] DOOM Eternal on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (90W and 115W) – the bigger sibling is 45% faster on average

DOOM Eternal is the newest game of the series that allows you to be the doom slayer. The id Tech 7 engine is well optimized and the game looks very good (at least for us). There is a lot of fine details in the surrounding environment. Because of the better optimization, the game can run even on iGPUs like AMD Radeon RX Vega 7 (Ryzen 4000) and low-end dGPUs as the NVIDIA GeForce MX350 (25W).

There is no doubt that this title will be smooth as butter on an RTX 2080 Super-based laptop but if you want something not-so-expensive the sweet spot is (probably) the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060.

Today we are going to compare the performance of the two TGP versions regarding this GPU – the 90W and the 115W variant, respectively.

    Verdict

The bigger the TGP definitely brings more performance to the table and the NVIDIA RTX 2060 (115W) proves that. The latter is 45% faster on average compared to its smaller sibling – the NVIDIA RTX 2060 (90W). This is a pretty big performance gap and if you plan to play this game regularly, well, the 115W variant is just faster without any doubt.

However, if you don’t need so much power and if you can find a good deal with the 90W version that will save you some buck while the overall performance will remain decent – 109 FPS on Ultra Nightmare quality is not bad at all.
