Acer Predator (G9-791) has been added to our M.2 SSD compatibility list

As we move towards releasing the full review of the model, here’s another interesting find that we came across when disassembling the machine. It turns out that the Predator has two M.2 SSD slots available at your disposal, but they differentiate from each other.

The notebook came with one standard 2280 M.2 SSD with M edge key connector, but the other slot was empty. You can fit in another M.2 SSD as long as it matches the 22110 standard again with M edge key connector. The latter is rather rare and hard to find and it’s mostly used in Apple MacBooks. However, we are pleasantly surprised by how many storage options the notebook offers and it’s a step up from the ASUS ROG G751, which offers one M.2 SSD slot and two standard SATA III 2.5-inch slots.
