[Comparison] Intel Core i7-1195G7 vs Core i7-11370H – Does TDP matter?
Tiger Lake was the first right step in Intel’s journey of redeeming itself and striking against the AMD hegemony in the CPU market. Both the U-series and the H-series deliver good performance and Alder Lake expands on that by innovating further, implementing Efficiency and Performance cores, which seem to be the next trend in computing.
The combination of both should be especially helpful in laptops, in order to increase battery life in laptops depending on the configurations. Today we have two Tiger Lake CPUs with the Core i7-1195G7 and the i7-11370H, which vary in TDP, but otherwise offer similar configurations. We’ll see how they perform against each other and if TDP really matters.
Today we are comparing the Intel Core i7-1195G7 against the Core i7-11370H.

CPU benchmarks
In 3D Rendering, the i7-11370H scores 22.5% higher, which is more than adequate and will be felt in Creator workflow, resulting in faster rendering times. On the other hand, the Core i7-1195G7 was much faster in Photoshop, finishing 0.57 seconds quicker.
Results are from the Cinebench R23 CPU test (the higher the score, the better)
Conclusion
It looks like TDP does matter, but only in prolonged tasks, such as 3D Rendering or video editing, which is taxing on the system for longer periods of time and so the Core i7-11370H fares better with more resources available to it. On the other hand, the i7-1195G7 ramps up quickly and looks to be much more potent. Depending on your usage, you should pick a different chip. If you don’t come across strenuous prolonged tasks often, the i7-1195G7 will do wonders while providing long battery life.
