ASUS has already released some models with the new Kaby Lake processors, like the ZenBook 3 – the direct competitor of Apple’s 12-inch MacBook. However, if you are looking for something more affordable and bigger, the newly updated ZenBooks and VivoBook’s are here for you.

The five notebooks to receive the Kaby Lake treatment are the ZenBook UX330 and UX310 ultrabooks, the VivoBook X556 and X456. The former (X556) is in our lab for testing but with the older Skylake Core i5-6200U on board so it will be interesting to see if the Kaby Lake generation really delivers better overall battery optimization. It’s believed to be a big jump from the previous generation due to the implemented hardware acceleration features regarding multimedia content and decoding 4K movies.

And the last one to receive the new processors is the K401, which is the only one to use the higher-end Core i7-7500U chip while the other four choices will stick with the Core i5-7200U CPU.
