Budget gaming laptops: Acer Nitro 5 to get Coffee Lake update (Nitro 5 AN515-52, Nitro AN515-53)?

Budget gaming is getting better and better with the introduction of new generations of better and low-cost hardware. For instance, there is the Acer Nitro 5 which comes in a variety of configurations with both AMD and Intel hardware. This little bad boy may soon be refreshed with Intel’s latest CPUs to deliver even better performance.

Currently, the Acer Nitro 5 is available with either AMD FX CPUs or Intel’s HQ and ULV chips but just yesterday we introduced you the updated AN515-42 model. The updated version of the Nitro 5 has both its design and performance bumps. It now features a carbon design language and it is one of the few models currently announced that feature the new AMD Ryzen 5 2500U and Ryzen 7 2700U processors that come with integrated Vega graphics.

However, there is no official information regarding refreshed Intel-based models running the new 8th generation chips. Here is where we at LaptopMedia kick in. Although we can’t speak with certainty, we have information that Acer is working on two other models named Nitro AN515-52 and AN515-53 which should offer the pleasure of the new 8th generation ULV and Coffee Lake-H processors.

Even with the currently available hardware configurations, the Nitro 5 is a great budget notebook to get into mobile gaming and with the addition of the brand new Ryzen and Coffee Lake processors, we can expect even more.

Below you can check out all the currently available configurations of the Acer Nitro 5. Check out the notebook’s detailed specs over here.
