GeForce GTX 960M and GTX 950M are coming next month followed by 940M

Lucky for you, LaptopMedia has a reliable information regarding GTX 960M, GTX 950M and 940M.

Our source cites that GTX 960M and GTX 950M are entering mass production this month and most probably NVIDIA is already working on it. We also happen to know that both mobile GPUs will offer a 20% increase in overall performance, compared to 860M and 850M. We can assume that we are talking about 3DMark benchmark results, which means that the GTX 960M will score around 32800 points on Cloud Gate and around 4700 on Fire Strike. Thus being said, the GTX 960M will easily enter top 10 most powerful GPUs, according to our database.

As for the GTX 950M, scores on Cloud Gate might reach more than 30800 points and around 4300 on Fire Strike, which also puts GTX 950M in top 10. Roughly, we can expect performance matching the GTX 870M and 780M or slightly lower. Our source also mentioned that the 940M will come out the following months and both GTX 960M and GTX 950M will be announced officially mid-March.

Interesting. Now we only need to know if the 960m GTX is an overclocked 860m rebrand or a GM206m chip?

If the performance jump is really 20% (compared to 860M/850M), we think that 960M/950M should use a new chip. We doubt that GM107 have that much potential and such overclock would cause an unacceptable consumption.
