NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 vs GTX 1060 – Turing vs Pascal, the showdown
Okay, guys, we’re on it! After yesterday’s defeat over the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, GeForce GTX 1650 is really going to have some bad time with today’s competitor – the GeForce GTX 1060. Is it going to excel once again, or it is going to be beaten for the first time in this series of showdowns. Well, honestly, it would be astonishing if it is able to beat a third consecutive Pascal graphics card, especially, given it is on the midpoint between budget and high-end gaming.

Specs overview
Specification-wise these devices are pretty different. First, the GeForce GTX 1060 features 1280 CUDA cores, has a 1404 MHz Base frequency and 1670 MHz Boost clock, and consumes 80W of energy, compared to the 1024 CUDA cores that work at 1395-1560 MHz of the GeForce GTX 1650. Additionally, the Turing representative is rated at only 50W TDP.
On the memory side, there is a good advantage to the GTX 1060 as well. Its bus is 192 bits wide, while the memory modules work at 2002 MHz, resulting in a bandwidth of 192.2 GB/s. This contrasts to the 128-bit bus of the GTX 1650, working at relatively the same speed but having a rather modest bandwidth of 128.1 GB/s.
Benchmarks
All of the advantages in the specs sheet of GeForce GTX 1060 help it to the win in the benchmarks department.

Gaming tests
As we mentioned, the GTX 1060 is in the middle of the Pascal GPU solar system. This means it can reach the maximum detail of games and still be able to pump out 60 fps on some titles. Comparing it head to head with the GeForce GTX 1650 adds up to the score for a 2:0 win for the Pascal graphics card.
