1. The Design and build quality
Being a ThinkBook, which strives to be a better-looking ThinkPad, it gets a complete visual makeover, which includes an anodized aluminum unibody, giving you a strong and rigid device, with almost 0 flex. The design is also very good, with a two-tone grey finish on the lid and ThinkBook and Lenovo branding that are very well put. Being a convertible, the lid has a 360-degree hinge, which allows the device to be used as a tablet. The lid opens easily with a single hand and has a very smooth operation. In order to make gripping easier, Lenovo has put a notch in the top bezel.
2. The Upgradeability and I/O
While half of the RAM is soldered onto the motherboard, the rest is upgradeable via one SODIMM slot which can fit up to a total of 40GB of DDR4 memory. In terms of storage, there are two M.2 PCIe x4 drives.

The I/O is also pretty stacked, considering this a convertible and a 14-inch one at that. On the left side, you get USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2) port, mainly used for charging, then you get a Thunderbolt 4 connector, an HDMI 1.4 connector, a USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) port, and an audio jack. As for the right side, there are one more USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) port, a MicroSD card reader, and the Power button, which has an embedded fingerprint reader.
3. The Display
The Lenovo ThinkBook 14s Yoga features a 14-inch Full HD IPS display with comfortable viewing angles and a good contrast ratio. Moreover, it fully covers the sRGB color gamut, which paired with the great color accuracy, makes the device perfect for artists and designers. Prolonged use won’t be a problem as the display doesn’t use PWM at any brightness levels.
In the color accuracy tests, the panel reached a dE value of 0.6, which is within the standard. It managed to do that with our “Gaming and web design” profile. The device comes with a medium-sized 60Wh battery unit, which lasts for 11 hours and 57 minutes of Web browsing, and 9 hours and 7 minutes of video playback. The battery test is done with the Windows Better performance setting turned on, screen brightness adjusted to 120 nits, and all other programs turned off except for the one we are testing the notebook with.

1. The Weight
Being a convertible, a device needs to be comfortable to be used both as a laptop and as a tablet. This is something that Lenovo kind of forgot, with the ThinkBook 14s weighing around 1.60 kg, which for a laptop is really good, but imagine that you had a tablet weighing this much. It would be really tiring to use a 1.60 kg tablet and put a lot of strain on your hands during long sessions.
