Dell Inspiron 5555 preview – an affordable AMD-powered offering
We doubt that Dell needs any introduction since the American company is one of the most famous and powerful devices on the market – the Alienware lineup to be more precise. Aside from the extraterrestrial notebook series, the Texans are also famous for their high-quality monitors, some of which boast 4K resolution.
There are also a couple of pretty good laptops from the budget and mid-range class, besides the top-tier offerings. And today we’re going to talk about the new Dell Inspiron 5555. The notebook offers great specs for the asking price, which, by the way, you can check at the following link:

A pleasant surprise in addition to the hardware
As we already mentioned, the things that impressed us the most in Inspiron 5555 are its specs and price. So it’s only logical that we start our preview with the hardware. The CPU is AMD A10-8700P. It has four cores clocked at 1.8GHz but can go up to 3.2GHz, making it a great choice among budget models. Alongside the CPU we see another AMD-made chip – Radeon R6 M345DX iGPU. The graphics card has 2GB of DDR3 integrated memory and in combination with the CPU will provide high enough performance of everyday tasks and even light gaming.
We can’t go on without mentioning the available RAM – 8GB DDR3, which isn’t bad at all. In case you’re operating on some heavy RAM hungry programs, such as Photoshop, you can always increase it. The HDD has 1TB capacity so it can store all of your photos, videos, music files, documents, programs, etc. In conclusion, we can state that the notebook has everything that the average users needs and is perfect for anybody who’s looking for a notebook with decent specs, but has a limited budget.
Aside from everything else, there’s a special bonus that comes with the laptop and it is in the form of a video game. The game you get depends on the CPU of the machine – in our case A10-8700P. You can see the list of games in the image above and we’d like to make a special note of Dirt’s latest game – Rally and Tomb Rider. Once again, the choice is all up to you. 15-inch laptop with simplistic design
Dell Inspiron 5555 is a 15-inch notebook with 768p screen with relatively thin, simple and clean design. However, the laptop’s keyboard sports an LED backlight and also sports the bare minimum of ports – 2x USB 2.0, one USB 3.0, HDMI, RJ-45 and a card reader. Sadly, there are two batteries listed to the model in Dell’s official website and we can’t be sure which one we have. Expect our full in-depth review of this excellent budget notebook.

Battery life not as good as Dell advertises, but about average for laptops with this size display. Lower the screen brightness and turn off auto updates. About all you can do for the battery
