[Specs and Info] ASUS Vivobook 13 Slate OLED (T3304) – A Vivobook in tablet form

Sooner or later, ASUS was going to get back into the tablet business. Well, it turns out that sooner is actually now, with the announcement of the Vivobook 13 Slate OLED (T3304). It’s a Windows tablet running on an Intel chip, which is certainly different than the rest of the market, which is full of Android and iOS devices, however, we’re pretty sure it can compete with the likes of the iPad and the Galaxy Tabs without a problem, especially with the OLED screen that makes it ready for endless entertainment as well as getting a lot of work done, thanks to the ErgoSense detachable keyboard that comes bundled.

Today we’re giving you a quick overview of the ASUS Vivobook 13 Slate OLED (T3304).

ASUS Vivobook 13 Slate OLED (T3304): Full Specs

Design

The Slate offers a lot of versatility, being able to be used as a tablet as well as a laptop. It looks to be well-made, at least from the provided images. Still, ASUS doesn’t advertise metal anywhere, but even if it’s made entirely of plastic, we expect decent durability. Most importantly, it looks good and keeps the Vivobook design touches, with grills on the sides in a chevron pattern. The volume and power buttons are shaped differently as well, giving the laptop some character. The back cover that’s provided has a kickstand, so you can prop up the display and not have to hold it permanently. It also helps when you connect the keyboard, giving you something very close to a laptop experience, especially since the Vivobook runs Windows 11. In terms of dimensions, it weighs only 0.82 kg and has a profile of 0.89 mm.

As it is a mix of a tablet and laptop, it’s got a respectable port selection, offering two USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2) ports, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack, which is pretty awesome to see.

Display

The OLED panel, on paper at least, looks amazing. At 13.3 inches, it’s big enough for both a tablet and a laptop. The Full HD resolution will provide enough detail at this screen size, while colors will pop, both thanks to the infinite contrast ratio of OLED displays, as well as the high brightness, which caps at 550 nits in HDR mode. The display fully covers the DCI-P3 color gamut and also has a PANTONE validation for color accuracy. The panel has active stylus support and can be a great tool for an artist. The ASUS Pen is sold separately, but the screen itself supports up to 4096 pressure levels of sensitivity. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass NBT, which provides a great degree of scratch protection, as well as an anti-fingerprint coating.

Specifications and features

The laptop is powered by an Alder Lake CPU, from the entry-level N-series. The Core i3-N300 comes with 8 cores and 8 threads, which can reach speeds of up to 3.80 GHz. It runs at just 7W, so it should go pretty easy on the 50Wh battery pack, while still providing adequate performance, due to its sheer core count. You get an iGPU for all your graphics work, which is totally fine, as it can still offer plenty of help in productivity workloads, especially rendering. The CPU is paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR5x memory, as well as up to 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
