MSI Vector GP78 HX in-depth review

This year MSI is offering some pretty good gaming devices with big displays. The Raider GE78 HX (13VX) is an impressive tool for playing games and we just didn't like the high price and the noisy fans under load. Now, we are about to show you the MSI Vector GP78 HX (13V). This includes 24-core Intel Raptor Lake HX processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 graphics cards with hefty TGPs. Since we want to see how good the cooling is, we bought a maxed-out version with a 175W GeForce RTX 4090. It'll be interesting to see if this machine is as loud as[...]

    Disassembly, maintenance and upgrade options

Opening the LaptopUndo the 13 Phillips-head screws securing the bottom panel of the laptop. Flip the laptop to remove the back plastic shroud behind the lid, starting from one of the sides close to the bottom panel, working your way around the backside. Lift the hinge cover away from the laptop. With the laptop lid open, use a plastic pry tool to carefully separate the bottom plate from the chassis. Flip the machine upside down and raise the bottom plate by holding firmly the two exhaust vents on the back.Caution: Be careful not to damage the internal components or [...]

    Office Work

Office Work should be used mostly by users who spend most of the time looking at pieces of text, tables or just surfing. This profile aims to deliver better distinctness and clarity by keeping a flat gamma curve (2.20), native color temperature and perceptually accurate colors.

    Design and Gaming

This profile is aimed at designers who work with colors professionally, and for games and movies as well. Design and Gaming takes display panels to their limits, making them as accurate as possible in the sRGB IEC61966-2-1 standard for Web and HDTV, at white point D65.

    Health-Guard

Health-Guard eliminates the harmful Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) and reduces the negative Blue Light which affects our eyes and body. Since it’s custom tailored for every panel, it manages to keep the colors perceptually accurate. Health-Guard simulates paper so the pressure on the eyes is greatly reduced.
