Game DVR – FPS performance impact while recording at different settings
ShadowPlay has been the best …or, to be honest, the only good choice for game recordings since it almost doesn’t hurt the performance at all, unlike Fraps for example. But what if your GPU isn’t made by NVIDIA or you don’t want to use GeForce Experience?
Our test shows that the featured in Windows (and super easy to use) Game DVR works just as good as ShadowPlay – without performance hits and headaches. We used a laptop configuration with NVIDIA GeForce MX150 (2GB GDDR5) and Normal / High graphics settings in GTA V. Here’s what we got:
