AMD E2-3800 is an integrated (soldered onto motherboards), budget processor. It was released in early Q1 of 2013. It is part of AMD’s “Kabini” architecture family, based on “Jaguar” technology. The processor operates at 1.3GHz.
The chip, which AMD describes as an APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) has been developed using a 28nm process, with 256KB of first level and 2MB of second level cache. The Radeon HD 8280 graphics controller is in the package as well, clocking at 450MHz. Power consumption of the whole system on a chip is 15 watts, with a maximum operating temperature of 90C.
AMD E2-3800 supports PCI Express 2.0, up to 16GB of DDR3/L 1600 memory and the SSE4 instruction set.
