Intel Celeron 3855U is low-voltage, integrated (soldered onto motherboards) processor, part of Intel’s budget line of processors. It is part of the “Skylake” generation and operates at a base frequency of 1.6GHz. Unlike its “bigger brethren” of the Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 families, Celeron 3855U does not sport TurboBoost or HyperThreading functionality, prohibiting it from overclocking its cores during periods of higher loads or emulating virtual/logic cores.
The chip is equipped with 128KB of first level cache, 512KB of second level cache, and 2MB of third level cache. The Intel Celeron 3855U has been developed using a 14nm process, allowing for the integration of the Intel HD Graphics 510 controller. It operates at a base frequency of 300MHz and a has a dynamic maximum of 900MHz. Power consumption of the whole system on a chip is 15 watts, with a maximum operating temperature of 100C.
Celeron 3855U supports up to 32GB of DDR4-1866/2133, LPDDR3-1600/1866, DDR3L-1333/1600 and the SSE4.1/4.2 instruction set.
