Intel Core i7-5850HQ is a high-end processor released on the market on 02.06.2015. It is part of the Broadwell generation and has a base frequency of 2.7 GHz. If higher performance is needed, its cores can be automatically overclocked, and when two, three or four of them are used – their frequency can reach the 3.6 GHz maximum of the chip.
The chip also features 256 KB first-level cache, 1 MB second-level cache and 6 MB third-level cache. Core i7-5850HQ has been manufactured through a 14 nm process and it includes an integrated Iris Pro Graphics 6200 GPU. Its base frequency is 300 MHz that can be increased by TurboBoost to 1100 MHz. The power consumption of the entire SoC is 47 Watts and the maximum operational temperature is 105 degrees Celsius.
Intel Core i7-5850HQ supports TurboBoost (it increases the base frequency when needed), HyperThreading (emulates a virtual core for each physical core), PCI Express 3.0, up to 32 GB DDR3L 1600/1866 LPDDR3 1600/1866, AVX, AVX2, FMA3, Quick Sync and SSE4 instructions.
