Intel Xeon E3-1535M v5 represents the Skylake family and it’s a high-performance chip with relatively high consumption – 45W TDP.
Announced in Q3 of 2015, the processor has four cores ticking at base frequency of 2.9GHz and can go up to 3.8GHz for one active core, 3.6GHz for two active cores and 3.4GHz for four active cores. The silicon supports the so-called Hyper-Threading technology that emulates one virtual core for each physical and thus establishing a total of 8 threads.
Intel Xeon E3-1535M v5 is manufactured using 14nm FinFET process and integrates Intel HD Graphics P530 GPU, also known as GT2, with 24 EU (Executable Units) clocked at 350 – 1050MHz.
The memory controller supports up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM at 2133MHz or DDR3 at 1866/1600MHz respectively. The CPU is suitable for heavy applications and gaming.
