Lenovo Tab M10 Plus Gen 3 review – an affordable tablet with great battery life

Verdict

In conclusion, we can say that the Lenovo Tab M10 Plus Gen 3 is a tablet that will definitely satisfy the needs of students, and people, who need a portable device for entertainment.

It features a large 10.6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2000 by 1200 and a pretty decent maximum brightness. Its quad-speaker setup will make even significantly more expensive tablets cry for their mommy.

However, we are brought back to reality by the camera quality. It is not the best out there, and even in well-lit conditions, the limitations of Full HD video can be seen. We had the Wi-Fi model, which features the Helio G80 SoC, and we can say that it leaves something on the table in terms of performance.

Although it is not the most powerful chip out there, it is good for day-to-day tasks like studying, watching videos, and playing the occasional non-intensive game. Moreover, its efficiency is fantastic. Our unit dropped only 4% of its battery for 20 minutes of gaming, which equals about 8 hours and 20 minutes of continuous gameplay.

Yes, we should consider heating in mind, but our tests showed that the chip inside barely reaches 28°C. This is the maximum temperature on the outside too. Back on the battery life, Lenovo states that the 7700 mAh unit should be good for about 12 hours of online video playback, 14 hours of Web browsing, or 4 weeks on stand-by – not too bad.

Surely, we have to mention the charging time. Our device was able to get only 15% of battery in 30 minutes of charging with the 10W unit we had inside the box. The manufacturer states that the device will need 5 hours to top up the battery from 0%, which is not great.

Yes, the price is low, but it would have been great if Lenovo could have provided a 20W charger inside the box, instead of the 10W we got (since it is supported by the tablet).

What is also good about the device is the support for styluses. Well, you have to buy the accessory yourself, but let’s be real – it is expected, considering the $200 price tag of the tablet itself.

This leads us to the last question we have to answer – is the Lenovo Tab M10 Plus Gen 3 worth it? Yes – for this price it hardly gets better. And if you want to spend a little bit more, you can get the tablet with 4G support, and a slightly more capable chip.

Bonjour, je viens d’acheter cette tablette. Effectivement la batterie est très bien mais j’ai un problème : pourquoi ma tablette se bloque souvent et affiche régulièrement ” l’interface ne répond pas” ? Merci
