AMD FirePro W4170M, codenamed “Mars XTX”, is a professional, mid-range graphics chip, announced on November 16, 2012. It consists of 386 Radeon cores which operate at 850MHz, but thanks to the Tubo clock functionality, that can be increased by a potential 6%, up to 900MHz.
This graphics card offers high performance in CAD/CAM applications and is nearly equivalent to an NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M in games.
The chip also has a 128bit bus and is only available with 2GB of GDDR5 memory. AMD FirePro W4170M supports DirectX 11.2, Pixel Shader 5.0, OpenCL, ZeroCore, Enduro, App Acceleration, PowerPlay, PowerTune and PCI Express 3.0 x16.
