AMD FirePro W5170M is a professional, high-range graphics chip, announced in October 2, 2015. Based on Cape Verde graphics processor, it consists 640 Radeon cores which operate at 925MHz, while the memory’s frequency is 4500MHz.
This graphics card offers high performance in CAD/CAM applications and is nearly equivalent to a Radeon R9 M370X in games.
The chip also has a 128-bit bus and is only available with 2GB of GDDR5 memory. AMD FirePro W5170M supports DirectX 12, OpenCL 1.2, OpenGL 4.3, Vulkan, Mantle, Eyefinity, Enduro, App Acceleration and HD3D.
