Intel Iris Graphics 6100 or also known as GT3 is an integrated graphics processor used in LV (low voltage) chips from intel that are part of the Broadwell generation processors. The GT3 core boasts 48 Execution Units (EUs) for the Core i7/i5 models, while Core i3 processors offer one less – 47 EUs. Depending on the CPU model, the iGPU frequency varies from 1000 to 1100 MHz,. The graphics processor supports up to DDR3L-1600 or DDR4-2133 RAM.
The iGPU now supports H.265 hardware decoding but the most notable feature here is that the chip supports DisplayPort 1.2 (max. resolution: 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz) while the HDMI support is limited to the older 1.4a. The GPU can support up to three displays simultaneously. The power consumption of the whole chip (along with the CPU and memory controller) is 28W.
The benchmark results are from Notebookcheck.
