PLEASE WHITELIST US. If it weren’t for the ads, LaptopMedia wouldn’t be running.

Now that both AMD and Intel have shown us what they have in terms of laptop processors, we have to compare them. If you are not very familiar with these two processors, you should know that laptops featuring the Ryzen 7 3750H are priced significantly lower than ones with the Core i7-9750H. In fact, the pricing is even lower than those equipped with the Core i5-9300H but this is a matter of thought for another article.

Visit our Top Laptop CPU Ranking to check these two and many more CPUs.

    Specs overview

When it comes to the specifications of these processors, there is a clear difference in favor of the Core i7-9750H. AMD’s processor is only superior in the TDP and the manufacturing process, where it has 35W versus 45W of the Intel CPU and 12nm compared to 14nm of the Core i7-9750H. Otherwise, the Ryzen 7 3750H is equipped with four cores (eight threads) that work at 2.30 GHz Base clock and 4.00 GHz Boost, whereas the Core i7-9750H has six cores (twelve threads) working at 2.60 GHz and being able to reach the whopping 4.50 GHz in Turbo. Additionally, Ryzen 7 3750H features 4MB of Cache, while the Core i7-9750H has around 12MB.

When we take a look at the maximum memory support we see another clear advantage to the Core i7-9750H – it an get up to 128 GB of DDR4 RAM at 2666 MHz, compared to the 64GB of the same type and speed of the Ryzen 7 3750H. However, the Red company offers a slightly better iGPU in the face of RX Vega 10, while the Core i7-9750H is equipped with the good old Intel UHD Graphics 630.
