CPU benchmarks

The Ryzen 9 5900HX was the better CPU in both of our tests. In the 3D Rendering benchmarks with Cinebench 20, it performed 31% better, and in our Photoshop benchmark, it had a lead of 0.25 seconds.

The Ryzen 9 5900HX is without a doubt the faster processor, however, especially in Photoshop, the Core i7-10870H performed very well and the 0.25 seconds lead that the AMD CPU has isn’t noticeable at all. Where the results are definitely noticeable is in the 3D Rendering benchmarks with Cinebench 20, where the Ryzen CPU performed 31% faster. If your work consists mainly of Photoshop and other image processing applications, and you can find a laptop with the Core i7-10870H for a lower price, you should definitely go for it. Also, keep in mind that when it comes to gaming, the Comet Lake-H architecture is still going to extract the maximum fps out of your system.
