How to open Lenovo Yoga 6 (13, Gen 8) – disassembly and upgrade options


Step 1: Removing the Bottom Panel of Lenovo Yoga 6 (13, Gen 8)

  1. Ensure the Lenovo Yoga 6 is powered off and placed on a soft surface to prevent any damage.
  2. Remove the 6 Phillips-head screws securing the bottom panel.
  3. Begin lifting the bottom panel using a plastic pry tool, starting from the top two corners where there’s slightly more space between the plate and the chassis.


Step 2: Battery Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery by carefully pulling out its connector from the motherboard.
  2. Remove the 3 Phillips-head screws that secure the 59Wh battery to the laptop’s body, then gently lift the battery out.
