[Specs and Info] AORUS 17H (2023) – If anything, the naming scheme is simple

WE MIGHT AS WELL TYPE OUT THE WHOLE ARTICLE IN CAPS since it feels like GIGABYTE and its AORUS sub-brand which is more gaming-oriented don’t really care about that. We find the AORUS 17H (2023) packed with the latest Raptor Lake H-series processors and the RTX 40-series graphics, along with a stunningly quick display, which we’ll cover once we get deeper.

Today we’re giving you a quick overview of the AORUS 17H (2023).

AORUS 17H (2023): Full Specs

Design

AORUS states that the 17H brings a 17-inch display in the body of a 15-inch machine, thanks to slimming down the bezels as much as possible. Still, it’s pretty thick, with a profile of 30 mm and a weight of 2.70 kg. We don’t see any mention of the build materials, however, we’d assume there’s some metal involved, as generally, AORUS laptops don’t come cheap. Overall, the design looks to be well executed and simplistic, with only an AORUS logo on the lid, along with heat vents on both the sides and the back.

Display

The 17.3-inch display is coming with a 360Hz refresh rate and a Full HD resolution. The panel also covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut, so you can definitely get your hands dirty as far as design and video editing are concerned.

Specifications and features

There are two CPUs to choose from, the Core i7-13700H and the Core i9-13900H, both with 14 cores and 20 threads. With them, you’d hardly find a problem running any program, regardless of the load, while with the RTX 4080 that’s available, you can conquer any game at any settings, especially at 1080p. Honestly, AORUS should have included some other options as well, with a 1440p panel being an easy slam-dunk addition, in our opinion.

The port selection of the AORUS 17H comes with two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, a Thunderbolt 4 port, a Mini DisplayPort 1.4, an Ethernet port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

The laptop utilizes its size well, providing a full-sized keyboard with a touchpad, as well as a very large 99Wh battery pack, which we hope lasts for a while, as the Intel 12th Gen wasn’t very efficient, so we hope for improvements on that front.
