The Complete Guide to Intel’s Current and Upcoming Mobile CPUs: Meteor Lake, Lunar Lake, Arrow Lake – Specs, Prices, Tests
Intel is changing for the better and is, to some extent, following in Apple’s footsteps.
The Core i-branding is slowly being phased out and now we have Core Ultra chips. So far, the only released are the Core Ultra 100-series, also known as Meteor Lake, however, they will soon be joined by Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake.
These are Intel’s codenames for the next-gen laptop processors, with Lunar Lake taking care of the low-powered thin & light segment, while Arrow Lake services the high-powered laptop segment.
Today we’re giving you a rundown of Intel’s current CPU offerings for laptops, as well as a look into the future.
METEOR LAKE
The Meteor Lake processors feature P-cores (Performance), E-cores (Efficiency), and LPE-Cores (Low-Power-Efficiency).

LUNAR LAKE

ARROW LAKE
In terms of Arrow Lake, we have info about one of the new CPUs, with 24 total cores that’s made specifically for high-end gaming laptops and other powerful mobile devices.

Benchmark results
So far we only know about the performance of the Meteor Lake, as well as one particular Lunar Lake CPU, the Core Ultra 7 268V. In terms of Single-core performance, whose effects you’ll feel the most when you’re casually using your laptop, the new Lunar Lake Ultra 7 shows quite the improvement. However, as the Ultra 9 185H has more total cores, it scores 16% faster than the Ultra 7 165H and 26% faster than the new Lunar Lake Ultra 7 268V.
