[Specs and Info] ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M6400, AMD Ryzen 6000 Series) – A display to die for

The Vivobook Pro lineup consists of powerful laptops that harness some of the most powerful hardware that’s on the market, which might or might not be a smart choice, depending on the size of the device and the size and capacity of the cooling that’s available.

However, we’re firm believers in the Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M6400), as with AMD’s Ryzen 6000 series, you get power and efficiency, so you can do your job well and on the go, and not be reliant on a charger for a large portion, if not the whole day.

Today we’re giving you a quick overview of the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M6400, AMD Ryzen 6000 Series).

ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M6400, AMD Ryzen 6000 Series): Full Specs

Design

The laptop has a metal lid and a plastic chassis, so you’re getting some premium materials and the device will feel good to the touch when opening and closing it. Also, this wouldn’t be a Vivobook if it didn’t come with an antibacterial finish that covers the entire surface. The design is good, with the trademark Vivobook plaque on the back and details on the keyboard (mainly the Enter key). In terms of portability, the Vivobook has a weight of just 1.45 kg and a profile of 19.2 mm.

Display

The 14-inch 2.8K OLED display offers incredible detail and crispness. It also has a 90Hz refresh rate, so scrolling and general use will feel much smoother. OLED panels are some of the best when it comes to colors as well, as the display here delivers 100% DCI-P3 coverage, 400 nits of peak brightness, and 600 nits of HDR peak brightness.

Specifications and features

Powered by the Ryzen 6000H series you’re getting a lot of power inside 14 inches. You can pick between the Ryzen 7 6800H and the Ryzen 7 6800HS, which has a lower base TDP of 35W. We would recommend the latter since it’s exactly made for smaller and more compact laptops, while it can also spike up and perform just as well as the regular 6800H. For graphics, you’re relying on the RTX 3050, which is a fine graphics card for video editing, as the RTX cores and CUDA cores will contribute to speeding up rendering times inside many Creator workloads.

The port selection of the Vivobook includes two USB 2.0 ports, one USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) port, one Type-C USB4 port, an HDMI 2.1 port, a MicroSD card reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

On the base, you’ll also find a NumberPad, which is a touchpad with a backlit NumPad component, that’s accessible by a touch button in the corner of the pad. Looking at it, you’ll see the Harman/Kardon branding, with the actual speaker cutouts at the bottom.
