Design

The laptop retains its design from last year, with a chassis made from aluminum and magnesium alloy. In last year’s device, durability was good, as both the lid and base remained rigid. In terms of portability, the Swift 3 measures at 1.25 kg and has a profile of just 15.9 mm.

Display

On the front, there’s a Full HD IPS display. Acer usually skips out on details when it comes to their notebooks, especially the more affordable ones, so we really have no idea about the specs of the panel. Still, you shouldn’t expect it to be Creator-ready, as has been our experience with the Swift 3 series. On the other hand, the 2022 Intel-powered Swift 3 does carry an FHD IPS display with 98% sRGB coverage.

Specifications and features

In terms of specs, the Swift 3 uses the Ryzen 5000U-series, including the refreshed Ryzen 5 5625U and Ryzen 7 5825U. While using the Zen 3 architecture from last year, it’s still got the core count to compete with the 2022 selection from AMD and Intel. For graphics, you still get the RX Vega integrated units, which are fine for general use, and some light gaming, like CS:GO and League of Legends.

The laptop has a decent port selection, with two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, two USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2) ports, an HDMI port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
