HP ProBook x360 435 G10: Full Specs

Design

On the outside, the laptop’s covered in metal, with sharp edges and rounded corners. The curves of the metal further improve the durability, which is already pretty good considering the materials that are used. The lid should be especially sturdy, since the screen has a Gorilla Glass 5 cover, to keep it safe from scratches. As this is a convertible, the hinges are a bit stiffer, so single-handed opening might be a tad more difficult. On the base, there’s a backlit keyboard, a large horizontal grill for the speakers, as well as a fingerprint reader, and another camera, which can act as a rear-facing sensor once the ProBook is folded into tablet mode.

On the sides, the port selection consists of two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, one USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2) port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a MicroSD card slot, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Display

The ProBook has a Full HD IPS panel that comes in several variants. The base model has just 250 nits of brightness and covers around half of the sRGB color gamut. Then we have a version with 400 nits of brightness and close to 100% sRGB coverage, which you should be gunning for if you’re looking to handle design and color-related tasks. Finally, there’s a 1000-nit panel with the same color coverage as the 400-nit panel, but with HP’s SureView Reflect technology, which can limit the viewing angle, so only you can see what’s happening on the display.

Specifications and features

The laptop has several CPU choices, starting with the Ryzen 3 7330U, a quad-core CPU with 8 threads. Then there are two Ryzen 5 models, the 7530U and its PRO variant, both with 6 cores and 12 threads. Lastly, you can go for the Ryzen 7 7730U and the Ryzen 7 PRO 7730U, with 8 cores and 16 threads. All CPUs come with Vega-integrated graphics, with the more powerful CPUs getting more powerful graphics. We would have loved to see the RDNA 2 units here, just because they perform much better, but for an office device, these Vega solutions will work well. On the inside, the laptop supposedly has two SODIMM slots for future memory upgrades, which makes us very happy.
