The HP EliteBook 850 G4 is a 15-inch business laptop in top 10 notebooks with the longest battery life

Despite some of its apparent drawbacks, HP’s EliteBook 850 G4 surprises with excellent battery runtimes and the main contributing factor might actually be the lackluster TN panel.

With a 51Wh battery unit, an Intel Core i7-7500U CPU and Full HD (1920×1080) TN display, the laptop impresses with excellent web browsing and video playback runtimes, even beating the Apple MacBook Pro 15 with a couple of minutes. On the web browsing test, the device scored 660 minutes (11 hours) while the video playback scored was higher, which is rather unexpected – 677 minutes (11 hours and 17 minutes).
