A lot of manufacturers have tried to go the Creator/Gaming way, creating notebooks that can do both. We have the Victus 16 from HP, along with the Legion 5 Pro from Lenovo, which have both proven themselves to offer reliable performance for both gaming and rendering.
Today we will take a look at another such device, once again coming from Lenovo, which sways more towards content creation rather than gaming, but we are sure it can handle both at a more than a decent level, combining a slim exterior with powerful AMD and NVIDIA hardware.

1. Design and build quality
The whole device is made of aluminum, allowing it to reach a weight and a profile of 1.90 kg and 18.4 mm while being structurally sound and rigid all around. In typical Lenovo fashion, we have a small Lenovo wordmark on the corner of the lid and the base. It is honestly one of the best-built laptops that we have tested when you consider the dimensions.
2. I/O
What the laptop doesn’t bring in quantity, it does so in quality, bringing two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, a single USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2) port, an HDMI 1.4b connector, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and an SD card reader.
3. Display quality
The 16-inch IPS panel has a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is becoming the norm with Creator notebooks. The panel has excellent viewing angles, a max brightness of 367 nits in the middle of the screen and 361 nits as an average for the whole area, with a maximum deviation of 9%. The contrast ratio is pretty high – 1470:1.
The laptop covers 89% of the sRGB color gamut.
In terms of color accuracy, the panel is pretty off with the stock settings (left) but improves a lot when we apply our Design and Gaming profile (right), which brings the dE value down to 1.7. Below you can see the results of our test.

4. Battery life
Being equipped with a 75Wh unit, the device lasts for 13 hours of Web browsing or nearly 9 hours of video playback, which is amazing considering it is powering a Ryzen 7 5800H. Now, we conduct the battery tests with Windows Better performance setting turned on, screen brightness adjusted to 120 nits, and all other programs turned off except for the one we are testing the notebook with.
