Lenovo Yoga 6 (13″, 2022) – Top 5 Pros and Cons

Sustainability is becoming a very hot topic in the laptop world, and rightfully so, as we need to push and increase the number of components that can be recycled and reuse old materials as much as possible if we want to keep the planet happy and satisfy the demand for technology that’s increasing every day.

Lenovo’s Yoga 6 might be their best effort to become sustainable, with recycled metal for the lid. In terms of hardware, you get the Ryzen 5 5500U and the Ryzen 7 5700U, two Zen 2 processors which have been refreshed. Reusing components, even if a bit old, is great since they don’t have to sit on warehouse shelves and can actually be used by people that need them.

Today we’re presenting you with LaptopMedia’s top 5 picks about the Lenovo Yoga 6 (13″, 2022).

Lenovo Yoga 6 (13″, 2022): Full Specs / In-depth Review

3 reasons to BUY the Lenovo Yoga 6 (13″, 2022)

1. Display quality

The laptop has a quality 13.3-inch FHD+ IPS screen, with excellent viewing angles. Unfortunately, it doesn’t get as bright, maxing out at 262 nits in the middle of the screen, 258 nits across the entire panel area, and with a peak deviation of 4%, which is good and means that the brightest remains even across the whole display. It covers 100% of the sRGB gamut while delivering excellent color accuracy with our Design and Gaming profile

Here are the results of our test with the stock settings (left) and with our profile applied (right). With a dE value of 0.6, you can absolutely handle all types of color grading work.

Praca biurowa

Projektowanie i gry

Health-Guard

2. Battery life

Inside the device, you’ll find a 59Wh battery pack. Paired with the efficient Ryzen processor, you can get up to 11 hours and 40 minutes of Web browsing, or 10 hours and 30 minutes of video playback. Now, we conduct the battery tests with the Windows Better performance setting turned on, screen brightness adjusted to 120 nits, and all other programs turned off except for the one we are testing the notebook with.

3. I/O

The port selection is quite good considering the small form factor, with two USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, which support Power Delivery 3.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 functionality, an HDMI 2.0 port, two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, and a MicroSD card reader.

2 reasons NOT to buy the Lenovo Yoga 6 (13″, 2022)

1. Upgradeability

Having good port selection is one thing, but smaller devices often struggle with upgradeability. This is the case with the Yoga 6, which has soldered LPDDR4x memory, up to 16GB of it. Storage-wise, there’s one M.2 slot, which supports Gen 4 SSDs, however, due to the processor choice, the SSD will run at Gen 3 speeds.

Here is our teardown video, which shows how to get inside the Lenovo Yoga 6 (13″, 2022).

2. Build quality

The laptop does use quality materials for its build, with aluminum for the lid and plastic for the base. The lid can also have a special fabric lid cover, which is stain resistant and should keep smudges and dirt away. The lid is quite durable, delivering excellent flex resistance. The same can’t be said about the base, as the soft-the-touch material has next to no structural rigidity.
