1. Design and build quality
The device is made entirely from metal and is very durable, with no flex from both the lid and the base. The lid is further reinforced by the Gorilla Glass display cover. The weight is also very manageable, coming in at 1.90 kg. The laptop also has a profile of 19.9 mm. In terms of the design itself, we get a black exterior with some silver hits on the hinges, the base and lid outline, and the ASUS logo. The lid cannot be opened with one hand, but the ErgoLift mechanism more than makes up for it, improving the comfortability and the cooling at the same time.
2. Display quality
The 15.6-inch Full HD IPS panel does a wonderful job that delivers comfortable viewing angles, a max brightness of 298 nits in the middle of the screen and 281 nits as an average for the whole area, with a maximum deviation of 9%. The contrast ratio of 960:1 can seem a little low, but the laptop is more than usable for every occasion. The laptop covers 90% of the sRGB color gamut and has decent although not perfect color accuracy.
