What’s in the box?

The box contains what maybe everyone is expecting – a million pieces that should be assembled into a chair, some manuals, and two cushions.

Design and build quality

This is not a regular gaming chair with contrasting colors, aggressive design, and brandings all over it. AndaSeat T-Pro 2 has a stealthier and more mature look compared to a conventional gaming chair. Probably it’s suitable for home and office usage because of the not-so-in-your-face design. Maybe, if you want to enjoy this product in an office, perhaps a darker color scheme will be a good choice for this kind of environment.

As you can see from the specs table, this product is aimed at people that are at least average-sized but we think that taller people will feel this chair as “at home” while sitting on it. Additionally, the chair is covered in fabric which is described as “Linen Fabric”.

This leads to better comfort especially in summer because this kind of material “breaths” while a leather-covered chair will heat your body additionally in longer gaming sessions. Contrary to that, the linen cover should be cleaned frequently, and spilling coffee or juice on it will cause headaches because it’s harder to clean properly such a “mess” because the fabric cover absorbs liquids as fast as possible.

The base is made of aluminum, we got a steel frame, the armrests can be adjusted in many different positions, and the fabric cover feels strong. Moreover, we think that the provided casters are one of the best that we have seen up to date. Overall, the build quality is rock-solid.

Assembling

Here is where the “fun” starts. It’s a great idea if you call a buddy of yours before starting to assemble the chair. It’s not impossible to do it alone but it’ll be a hard job that will take one or even more than two hours, depending on how patient or impatient you are.

The chair isn’t the lightest out there – it is fairly large so an extra pair of hands will make the whole process easier. The hardest part of the whole assemble is the attaching of the backrest piece to the base where two wholes should be perfectly matched before putting the screws into them.

The rest is more or less standard procedure but again, the weight of some particular parts is can be a problem if you are alone.

Testing and impressions

After the assemble, we can say that this thing is meant for taller and bigger people. If you are an average-sized person, you can use the chair too but perhaps in this situation, you can experience some limitations because of the chairs’ size.

The most visible one can be the placement of the neck cushion which probably is perfectly suitable for people over 180cm, but fellas that aren’t that tall can find this cushion uncomfortable because it’ll not support the neck in the right way (the backrest height is 87 cm). Instead, it’ll force the head forward which can be quite unpleasant. In this scenario, removing the cushion will solve this problem.

For big-sized users, the rest of the specs can be mouth-watering. The maximum static loaded weight is 200 kilos (440 lbs) and the max rocking weight is set to 150 kg (330 lbs) which is quite a lot. The width between the armrests is very generous, the backrest can be locked at 90° and the maximum reclining angle is 160° – nice. The main comfort comes from the big seat that has a 55cm (22″) depth and 58cm (32″) width.

The seat is pleasantly soft – you will not deeply sink in foam while using the chair, instead of that, the whole softness of the chair feels nice for prolonged periods of usage, and the back is well supported in the right position. The second cushion is for lumbar support and just like the other one, it has feels super-soft and taller users can find it usable but people below 180 cm will probably remove it.

The armrests are 4D which means you can push them forward, backward, up and down, or left and right (straight or with up to 45° angle to the left or right). These adjustments are piece of cake and can be done very quickly which is a big pro. On the other hand, the armrests are made of hard rubberized plastic which doesn’t feel comfortable for long hours of work or gaming. Probably that’s the main downside of the chair.

The levers that are used for adjustment are placed on both sides of the chair but their position isn’t the best and in some situations, we had a hard time reaching them.

Verdict

The AndaSeat T-Pro 2 is an impressive chair that fits well in an office or home. This is possible thanks to its stealthier and clean look which makes it suitable for most users (in terms of visual appearance). The build quality is top-notch – steel frame, aluminum base, well-built casters, and a linen fabric cover that ensures more comfort especially in a hot climate.

Comfort during usage is (almost) great – the seat is large and comfortable, the backrest has a height that can be appropriate even for basketball players. The area between the armrest is big and speaking of which, the armrest can be fine-adjusted in a lot of positions. The provided cushions for the neck and lumbar support can be appreciated by taller people, users with normal frames will probably remove them both.

Now, your spine will be fixed in the right position thanks to the adjustable backrest that can be locked in a 90° or you can use the reclining function as well. The fairly-sized seat is pleasantly soft and because of its dimensions, all kinds of users of different sizes can fit in it.

No one is perfect and the armrests of this product aren’t cozy because they are made of hard plastic with a rubberized surface. Aside from that, the AndaSeat T-Pro 2 is a solid offer especially for big-sized people with its fairly large seat, backrest, and impressive maximum supported weight.
