How to open HP EliteBook 865 G10 – disassembly and upgrade options

Ensure the HP EliteBook 865 G10 is powered off and placed on a protective surface.
Unscrew the 5 captive Phillips-head screws that secure the bottom panel.
Use a lever tool to carefully pry open the bottom panel, starting from the area behind the hinge cover, then proceed around the sides and the front to completely detach the panel.

Step 2: Battery Removal

Disconnect the battery by detaching its connector from the motherboard.
Remove the four Phillips-head screws holding the 51.3Wh battery (or the optional 76Wh model) in place and lift the battery out of the chassis.
