The NVIDIA Quadro M3000M is an high end Maxwell-based GPU manufactured with 28nm process supporting DirectX 12 and OpenGL 4.5. The GPU is mostly used in professional mobile workstations because thanks to the certified drivers, the GPU performs better than the GeForce family in certain applications like CAD or DCC.
NVIDIA Quadro M3000M is based on the GM204 chip using 1024 shaders instead of the full 2048, which can be found in the GeForce GTX 980. The memory used is 256-bit and it’s paired with a 4GB GDDR5 memory, which is clocked at 5012MHz effective (1253 MHz).
The GPU itself receives a clock of 540MHz. And as for the ROPs and TMUs, they are 64 and 32 respectively. Due to its TDP of 75W, the GPU is suited for 17-inch display laptops or bigger.
