Dell XPS 13 (9360) (13-inch, QHD+, IPS) display profiles – Quality and Health impact results
Finally, we got the chance to test the QHD+ version of the notebook and the profiles that we will present below will also work for the previous Skylake-powered version of the XPS 13 (9350) with the QHD+ display. In the pack below, you will find the usual Health-Guard, Office work / Web design and Gaming / Movie Nights profiles. You can read more about them here and how to use them. We also suggest reading our dedicated article regarding blue light emissions and PWM and how our custom profiles help eliminate both to certain extend.
The Dell XPS 13 has an excellent IPS panel with numerous useful properties making it excellent for multimedia. We’ve got high contrast ratio, wide sRGB coverage, extremely high maximum brightness and relatively accurate color reproduction. There are several inconsistencies, though, like less than optimal gamma and slightly off color temperature. Moreover, our equipment recorded PWM at high frequencies so our Health-Guard profile will also be extra useful for this panel
Since our profiles are tailored for each individual display model, this article and its respective profile package is meant for Dell XPS 13 with 13.3″ Sharp SHP144A (QHD+, 3200 x 1800) IPS and the machine can be found at Amazon.com: Dell XPS 13 (9360).

Office Work / Web Design
This profile aims to deliver the most accurate colors possible in the sRGB gamut – the colors used on the Web. That makes it suitable for Office work and, in some cases, for Web Design. Although the display doesn’t offer the needed properties for color-sensitive work, if you want accurate color reproduction, we suggest using this profile. Anyway, we successfully reduce the average DeltaE 2000 (lower is better) from 3.7 to 2.9. Let’s see how that looks in the two graphs below…
Gaming and Movie Nights, Health-Guard
As we already mentioned, the display offers good image quality for general multimedia purposes but our Gaming and Movie Nights profile enhances the user experience just where it’s needed. This profile lets you see more details in the darkest areas (you can see an example here).
Health-Guard profile
As for the Health-Guard profile, it reduces the Blue Light impact and eliminates PWM to some extent. This profile will come in handy as the display uses PWM for adjusting brightness and also has higher levels of blue light than usual.
Installing and using the profiles
You can find a guide for installing and using the profiles HERE.

Are you sure about the PWM? Notebookcheck says the Dell XPS 13 9360 QHD+ i7-7500U has no PWM
100% sure. Our collegues at Notebookcheck have equipment that detects PWM only up to 10 kHz or so while ours can go over 100 kHz.
