How to open MSI Cyborg 15 A13V – disassembly and upgrade options


Step 1: Opening the MSI Cyborg 15 A13V

  1. Ensure the laptop is powered off and on a static-free surface.
  2. Remove the 9 Phillips-head screws from the bottom of the laptop.
  3. Use a lever tool to pry the sides and lift the panel in the zones behind the hinges.
  4. Pry the area behind the hinge cover with a thin plastic tool. Flip the laptop, slightly open the lid, and insert the plastic tool between the panel and the chassis at the front.
  5. Carefully lift the left side and slide the panel to the right to avoid the audio jack sticking out from the motherboard.


Step 2: Battery Removal

  1. Detach the battery connector from the motherboard.
  2. Remove the three Phillips-head screws and lift the battery out of the chassis.

Memory Upgrade

  1. Locate the RAM section, which is covered by a metal plate.
  2. Remove the metal plate to access the two SODIMM slots.
