Convertibles will continue to get more powerful, as Intel and AMD continue innovating and improving their processors, as well as new players establishing themselves, like Qualcomm and other ARM-based manufacturers. Today’s Zenbook 14 Flip OLED (UP3404) comes with the Raptor Lake P-series and a great OLED panel that is suitable for all types of work.

Today we’re giving you a quick overview of the ASUS Zenbook 14 Flip OLED (UP3404).

ASUS Zenbook 14 Flip OLED (UP3404): Full Specs

Design

The laptop comes with two color options, either Ponder Blue or Foggy Silver. The blue is quite dark, while the Silver is more white. What truly is silver is the hinges and the lining on the lid, which if you look from afar, you’ll see an A, which is a new logo that ASUS has been using on their website and some of their Vivobooks and Zenbooks. The base is decorated with Dolby Atmos and Harman/Kardon logos, signifying the presence of a pretty good speaker setup. While the cutouts are on the bottom, you actually get them to fire toward you once you fold the laptop. In terms of weight and height, the Zenbook comes in at 1.50 kg and has a profile of 15.9 mm.

Display

The Zenbook comes with a 14-inch 2.8K OLED panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The panel reaches 400 nits of brightness and 550 nits with HDR, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and a 0.2 ms response time, which is faster than what nearly all gaming laptops can offer. The panel does come pre-calibrated and with a Pantone Validation.

Specifications and features

Powered by the Core i7-1360P, you get access to 12 cores and 16 threads, as well as a boost speed of up to 5.00 GHz. Now, it would be a miracle if the laptop ever hit that, but you should still get good performance out of the new chip. You rely on integrated graphics, with the Iris Xe Graphics G7 with 96 Execution Units. New, Arc-based iGPUs can be expected with the 14th Gen mobile chips, with which we’ll also see hardware AV1 encoding support, making them ideal for Creators.

The port selection of the notebook comes with one USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 2) port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
