ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 OLED (UX6404) review – a gaming laptop disguised in a suit

Verdict

What a device! The Zenbook Pro 14 OLED (UX6404) is a business-grade notebook that has the power to battle with full-fledged gaming machines. It is so powerful, in fact, that you will be able to play every AAA title out there at max settings at 1080p resolution.

Of course, this means that you will have no issues dealing with any type of creative workload. Would it be photo editing, video rendering, or manipulating 3D projects, the Zenbook Pro 14 OLED (UX6404) can do it all.

Well, this comes at the expense of battery life, we presume. Its 76Wh battery pack lasts for no more than 7 hours of Web browsing, or 6 hours of video playback.

ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 OLED (UX6404)’s touchscreen OLED panel has a high resolution, comfortable viewing angles, and a mathematically infinite contrast ratio. It covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut, and thanks to the MyASUS app, it can emulate the sRGB gamut completely. In addition, it does so with a really high accuracy.

Not only is this panel great for content creation of any kind, but it is also fantastic for gaming. Its 120Hz refresh rate is paired with extremely fast pixel response times. To make matters completely irresistible, ASUS tackles the PWM issue of the OLED technology with its own “Flicker-Free Dimming” function inside its MyASUS app.

In addition to that, you get a fantastic keyboard, and a touchpad with a piece of spice – the DialPad. Ideally, it should provide you with an alternative input method. Speaking of which, there is a dedicated stylus inside the packaging for even more flexibility. However, you should keep in mind that the display doesn’t go all the way down to a flat position, which may make using the stylus a bit less comfortable.

At the end of the day, we are very happy with the cooling solution on this Zenbook. Yes, the GPU gets quite warm during gaming, but the fact that the company was able to put an RTX 4060 (and even an RTX 4070) in a 14-inch Zenbook is still very impressive.

Si on insert une carte SD dans l’appareil, elle sort de beaucoup ?
Peut-on imaginer la laisser en permanence ?

Bonjour,
