HP ProBook 440 G10 review – snappy office device that needs a revamped cooling system
Disassembly, Upgrade options, and Maintenance
For removing the bottom plate, you have to undo just 5 captive Phillips-head screws. The zone around the hinge is the easiest for prying with a plastic tool.
Here, we have a 51.3Wh battery that is fixed to the bases with 4 Philips-head screws. Before undoing them, you have to pull out the battery connector from the motherboard. The capacity of this model is enough for 9 hours and 5 minutes of Web browsing or 7 hours and 42 minutes of video playback.
This small notebook surprises us with two SODIMMs. They can handle up to 32GB of DDR4-3200MHz memory. For storage, there are two M.2 slots. The one under the cooling fan is compatible with Gen 4 SSDs. You can access the other PCIe slot if there’s no LTE card installed.
The cooling system is really simple. It has just one fan and one heat pipe.
