    Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 1 in-depth review

The ThinkPad T14s is a slimmer and lighter version of the ThinkPad T14. It comes with AMD's Ryzen Pro 4000U processors and offers quite a variety of display and configuration options.Alas, the screen is one of the aces up Lenovo's sleeve for this one, as it comes with the proprietary Privacy Guard design, which works similarly to HP's Sure View technology. Upon the press of a button (or a combination of buttons), a secondary backlight flashes and blocks certain viewing angles, so that you have all of your sensitive information to yourself. Or, at least this is how it should work - we'll check that in a moment. You can check the[...]

    Disassembly, maintenance and upgrade options

This device is extremely powerful. The Ryzen Pro CPUs provide exquisite performance and efficiency, thanks to the 15W TDP. However, the upgradability has taken a toll, compared to the non-s ThinkPad T14.Check out all Lenovo ThinkPad T14s prices and configurations in our Specs System or read more in our In-Depth review.1. Remove the bottom plate Getting inside of this notebook requires the undoing of 5 Phillips-head screws. Then, you just need to pry your way around the device, starting from the back and you're done.2. Battery As for power away from the plug, you get a 57W[...]

    Office Work

Office Work should be used mostly by users who spend most of the time looking at pieces of text, tables or just surfing. This profile aims to deliver better distinctness and clarity by keeping a flat gamma curve (2.20), native color temperature and perceptually accurate colors.

    Design and Gaming

This profile is aimed at designers who work with colors professionally, and for games and movies as well. Design and Gaming takes display panels to their limits, making them as accurate as possible in the sRGB IEC61966-2-1 standard for Web and HDTV, at white point D65.

    Health-Guard

Health-Guard eliminates the harmful Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) and reduces the negative Blue Light which affects our eyes and body. Since it’s custom tailored for every panel, it manages to keep the colors perceptually accurate. Health-Guard simulates paper so the pressure on the eyes is greatly reduced.
