A Big Shake-up In The Top 100 Best Gaming Laptop Deals Ranking As The Lenovo LOQ 15 snags the #1 spot

The Dell G15 5535 had a nice stay as the #1 laptop in our Top 100 Best Gaming Laptop Deals Ranking, however, a new challenger has emerged. It brings a better price-to-performance ratio, so it takes the #1 spot away from the G15. The offer is still fresh so grab it quickly while it lasts. The Lenovo LOQ 15 is Lenovo’s new budget gaming laptop, taking over from the previous IdeaPad Gaming devices. The LOQ brand brings very good components, as you’ll see in the highlighted configuration below.

🥇 Lenovo LOQ 15

Powered by the Ryzen 7 7840HS, the Lenovo LOQ 15 brings a powerful and efficient CPU. It’s rather good for gaming, where it won’t be a bottleneck for the graphics while offering decent battery life if you use the device on battery. This is where the iGPU inside the processor comes in too. The Radeon 780M is a capable integrated solution, powering handheld gaming devices left, right, and center, so you can play games with the iGPU alone, saving you some more battery.

However, once plugged in, the RTX 4050 fires up and takes over. It’s got a 95W power limit, which is decent. The performance of the GPU is great for 1080p gaming and even some 1440p gaming. Here we have a Full HD IPS panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, which is a classic budget gaming laptop display. The CPU and GPU are backed up by 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB SSD. Of course, you can upgrade both, as there are two SODIMM slots and two M.2 slots for SSDs.

We haven’t reviewed the AMD version, however, the Intel laptop is very similar but with an AMD chip and lack of Thunderbolt support. You can also follow the review for disassembly information about how to upgrade the laptop.
