The configuration that’s on sale has the same components and display. Let’s give you a quick recap: for the CPU, you’ve got a Ryzen 7 7840HS, an 8-core, 16-thread CPU built on the Zen 4 architecture, carrying a Radeon 780M GPU (this can be important). Currently, the chip sits at #30 in our Top Laptop CPU Ranking. Considering up top we’ve got 14 and 16-core beasts, we’d say that this is a decent position. The chip offers great gaming performance and efficiency, while the 8-cores can still handle multi-threaded workloads really well, so any math calculations, code compilation, and build can be done rather fast.

For the graphics, there’s a 140W RTX 4060, which is a fantastic GPU for 1080p and even 1440p gaming. You can also use the GPU to encode video, which is super important if you plan on using the G15 5535 for editing and other rendering. The Radeon Graphics can be used when you’re running on battery, while still delivering good performance in lighter games. The CPU and GPU  are backed up by 16GB of DDR5 RAM as well as 512GB of PCIe Gen 4 storage.

While we haven’t had the pleasure to tinker with the AMD variant, we have reviewed the Intel version, which comes with superb cooling, so you can be sure that the components that are inside the AMD version will be taken good care of.
