1. Remove the bottom plate

To access this laptop’s internals, you need to undo a total of 11 Phillips-head screws. The one in the bottom right corner is captive and lifts the bottom panel so you can start the prying process from there.

2. Remove the battery

Inside we find a 90Wh battery pack. Weirdly, to remove it, you first have to take out the system fan. It is held in place by two Phillips-head screws. Then, unplug the battery connector, and undo the four Phillips-head screws, which secure the battery to the chassis.

3. Upgrade memory and storage

Here, you get two SODIMM slots, which fit 64GB of DDR5 RAM in total. Storage-wise, you get two M.2 PCIe x4 slots. They support Gen 4 SSDs and RAID mode.

4. Cooling system

The cooling comprises two heat pipes shared between the CPU and the GPU. There is one more for each of them. A fifth one manages the graphics memory, while a sixth one takes care of the VRMs. There are a total of five heat sinks, three of which are taking the entire space on the back of the device.
