The new Dell G3 17 3779 (G3779) budget gaming series – prices, specs, features and configurations

After taking a look at the major specifications of the new budget-friendly Dell G3 15 3579 (G3579) notebook, we decided to turn our attention to its bigger 17-inch sibling – the Dell G3 17 3779 (G3779).

For starters, the notebook packs up to 8th gen Intel Core i7-8750H processor providing just enough power for your favorite titles or demanding tasks. When it comes to the graphics card, you can choose between NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q (6GB GDDR5) and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (4GB GDDR5). As for memory capacity, the notebook relies on 16 GB of DDR4-2666 RAM paired with up to a 256GB SSD + up to 2000GB HDD for storage.

In addition, Dell G3 17 3779 (G3779) boasts a sharp 17.3-inch IPS display featuring Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. What’s more, the wide viewing angles and the anti-glare coating further contribute to the appealing gameplay. This bad boy is also the thinnest 17-inch laptop part of the Dell G series measuring at just 25 mm in height ensuring enjoyable gaming even on the go.

As for connectivity options, you are presented with 1x USB 3.1 Type-A port, 1x USB 3.0 Type-A port, 1x USB 3.0 Type-A port (Sleep and Charge), HDMI, SD card reader, combo audio jack, as well as Noble lock slot. The specs sheet is also complemented by Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac.

Hi, this was very interesting! I’m looking more into this computer and I wonder if you know about or could do some testing of how the thermals act when playing games and how well it is when used in practice in general? Best regards,
