Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Features User-Accessible Battery, Despite Being the Thinnest and Lightest X1 Ever

Sometimes, many important features are not listed on the spec sheet, which is why we like to test the machines ourselves. That’s exactly what we’re doing now in Berlin with Lenovo’s latest lineup.

Lenovo announced several new laptops, and of course, you can check their detailed specs and configurations in our Specs System. However, here’s a pleasant surprise we discovered while testing the new Lenovo X1 Carbon: it’s easy to maintain, and the battery is user-replaceable.

This is great news, considering the notebook’s impressively light (980g / 2.16 lbs) and slim (8-14 mm / 0.3″ – 0.6″) chassis, made possible by its construction, which is almost entirely carbon fiber and magnesium.

As for the battery, the new X1 Carbon can last up to 18 hours on a single charge. Credit goes to the super energy-efficient Core Ultra Series 2 CPUs, about which you’ll soon find more information in our upcoming article: Intel Core Ultra 2 Series CPUs – Comparison in Performance and Prices (link coming soon).

The battery has a capacity of 57 Wh and can be charged to 80% in just 60 minutes.
